Belfast Maritime Festival

Earl of Pembroke A series of majestic Sailing Ships dock in Belfast for the Maritime Festival each year. This year's festival took place on 28 - 29 June 2008.

During the festival, visitors can board the ships and take a look around. There's usually a range of activites for everyone to enjoy, such as a Continental Market, music, sports, storytelling, face painting, circus performers and demonstrations.

Tall Ships Atlantic Race 2009

Some of the Sailing Ships that took part in the Maritime Festival will also be taking part in the Tall Ships Atlantic Race 2009.

Vessels will travel over 7,000 nautical miles around the North Atlantic Ocean and finish in Belfast for a the grand finale celebrations.
