Statement from Belfast City Council on Connswater Community Greenway Scheme

Belfast City Council and Connswater Joint Venture (JV) were in contract in relation to the Connswater Community Greenway.

Progress in relation to the project has been slow due to practical issues that neither Belfast City Council nor the JV foresaw.

In the circumstances, Belfast City Council and the JV have agreed that it is in both parties` interests to mutually terminate the contract. Final terms of mutual termination have now been agreed and the Council will be moving to re-start the project.
