Budding entrepreneurs to get advice on starting business
7 June 2012
Budding entrepreneurs thinking of starting their own business will get advice and support through an upcoming enterprise event, organised by Belfast City Council.
`Start Up Belfast` is a one-stop shop event with a business advice clinic, workshops, networking opportunities and exhibitions from business support organisations. It will take place on Wednesday 20 June in the Holiday Inn, Ormeau Avenue from 9am- 2.15pm.
Attendees to the event will get the opportunity to find out more about `Getting Started`; ` Financing Your Business`; `Top Tips for Marketing Your Business`; using Social Media to promote your business and `Selling Online` and what not to do.
Alderman Christopher Stalford, Chairman of Belfast City Council`s Development Committee, said: “Start Up Belfast will be a fantastic opportunity for people thinking of starting a business to find out what it entails. They will hear from inspirational entrepreneurs who started their own businesses and learn about the challenges and rewards that were brought from doing so.
“The initiative is also part of the council`s ongoing commitment to supporting local business and entrepreneurs across the city.”
For further information or to register for the event, contact the council`s Economic Development Unit on 028 9027 0229 or email lynnr@belfastcity.gov.uk
The programme is funded by Belfast City Council, Invest NI and the European Regional Development Fund under the European Sustainable Competitiveness Programme for Northern Ireland.
