Brown bin collections start again
21 February 2006
Householders in the Belfast City Council area who have brown bins for recycling garden waste are reminded that collections start again next week.
Collections resume every two weeks from next Wednesday (March 1). Householders should place their brown bins out for collection on the same day as their blue recycling bins.
Householders also are reminded that the brown bins can be used for the disposal of garden waste, such as grass cuttings, leaves and other garden prunings, as well as shredded paper. Kitchen waste should not be placed in the brown bins.
Anyone wanting further information about their brown or blue bins, or any other aspect of recycling in Belfast, can contact the Council`s Recycling Hotline on 0800 032 8100.
