Flickr logo Belfast has some beautiful sites and we want to show them off!

We've made photographs of our venues and other sites available on Flickr, a website which allows users to upload pictures and share them with each other.

Some of the pictures you can currently look at on Flickr include:
  • refurbishment work at Belfast City Hall, Ulster Hall and St Malachy's Church
  • cemeteries across Belfast
  • work of our Youth Forum
  • major events in Belfast, such as Belfast City Carnival.
You don't need a Flickr account to see our photographs, but you can leave comments about our pictures if you sign up to the site, which is free to join.

And, if you become a member, you can also 'share' pictures with other users and upload your own pictures as well!

YouTube logo You can watch video clips about the work of the council on YouTube, a website where users upload and share videos with each other.

We've already made more than 20 videos available via YouTube. These include:
  • anti-litter TV adverts
  • videos explaining the work of our Youth Forum
  • Chinese healthy eating cookery demonstrations
  • speeches and presentations from conferences we have hosted
  • 3D animations of our plans to regenerate the River Lagan and the North Foreshore.
You don't need a YouTube account to watch the clips but, if you join the site, you'll be able to leave comments about our videos and tell us what you think about our work.

If you subscribe to our videos, you'll be alerted whenever we add a new clip. You can also recommend videos to other users and 'share' our clips with your friends and family.

Please note that we are not responsible for the content of websites not owned by the council.

What do you think about how we're using Facebook, Twitter and other new technologies? We would love to hear your comments - email webmaster@belfastcity.gov.uk with your views.
