Arboretum
Our arboretum, located in Barnett Demesne, contains more than 2,000 trees from different countries, allplanted in natural groups.
They include:
- trees renowned for seasonal colour, for example, berries in autumn and bark colour in winter
- trees from particular families, for example, maple and beech
- trees with defensive mechanisms, for example, thorns and poisonous foliage.
Special occasions
Our arboretum also allows you to plant a tree in memory of a loved one or to commemorate a specialevent such as an anniversary or a wedding.
There is a charge of £100 for this service. This includes an entry in our arboretum book and a special certificate.
All plantings are marked with an original inscribed entry in a commemorative book which is held in Malone House

Barnett Demesne is situated on Malone Road, just beside the House of Sport roundabout.We offer free car parking or you can reach us by bus, using Metro services 8A or 8B and getting off
at Finaghy Road South.
