Bike Week
Bike Week 2013 will take place from 15 to 23 June. To celebrate, we're hosting a range of events to promote cycling throughout Belfast.
Active travel public meeting
Wednesday 19 June6pm to 8.30pm
The MAC, 10 Exchange Street west, Belfast.
The meeting will be chaired by the Minister for the Department for Regional Development, Danny Kennedy, MLA. Pre-registration is essential. To sign up click here www.ctc.org.uk
Family mountain bike skills training
Wednesday 19 June7pm to 8.30pm
Barnett Demesne Mountain Bike Trails and Jumps Park, Belfast.
Bring the kids and try out our new mountain bike trails under the guidance of our Active Communities cycling coaches. Learn how to do a basic maintenance check of your bike and take part in our various bike handling skills games.
We will provide mountain bikes for young people aged 10 to 14. Parents can join in but must bring their own bike.

Bike to Work Day
Friday 21 June7.30am to 10am
Cycle to Belfast City Hall and get a free breakfast.
Lose the car and the save money on parking by cycling to work on Friday 21 June. We’ll give you a free breakfast in the Bobbin Café at Belfast City Hall if you do!
Cycle alone or join us at one of seven different meet-up points across Belfast at 8am. The meet up points are:
- Waterworks Park
- Crumlin Road
- Dunville Park
- Drumglass Park
- Ormeau Road roundabout
- Cregagh Road
- Comber Greenway.
PSNI cycling officers will be on hand to give you anti-theft advice and perform bike security marking. We’ll also be hosting Dr Bike maintenance checks on your bike and super keen cyclists can take part in a charity spin challenge to find the fastest cyclist over 1 mile.
