Redevelopment plans

The redevelopment of Cave Hill Country Park, designed to improve the path network within the park, will take place between January and August 2008.

The park currently attracts around 140,000 visitors each year and we hope that better access will create a more enjoyable visit and protect the park from damage.

The £70,000 project is funded by the Environment and Heritage Service and the council.

The refurbishment work will be carried out by Conservation Volunteers Northern Ireland.

What it involves

Redevelopment of Cave Hill Country Park will involve: Due to the topographical conditions of the site, vehicle access to Cave Hill Country Park is limited.

All materials needed for the refurbishment will therefore be transported to the park by helicopter.
