Image: Man and woman lying on a park lawn Belfast has a wide variety of parks, sports pitches, playing fields, open spaces and playgrounds. It is also home to a diverse range of trees, wildlife and horticulture, as well as attractions like Belfast Zoo, Malone House and Belfast Castle.

Want to check when a park is open? You can view all park opening hours in this section. Please remember to keep your dog on a lead in all our parks. Dogs are also not allowed on our sports pitches or playing fields.

Love running? Parkrun is a free 5K walk or jog around Waterworks and Victoria Park every Saturday.

We're planning a series of improvements to Woodvale and Dunville Park, with work scheduled to begin in early 2012.

Coins Park Events Small Grants Scheme

Grants of up to £2,250 are available for groups interested in organising an event in our parks.

Dog walkers Dog fouling

If you're walking a dog in a park, you must clean up after it. This includes picking up waste and disposing of it in the bins provided.

BMX rider Bridges Urban Sports Park

Bridges Urban Sports Park provides facilities for skateboarding, in-line skating, Parkour and BMXing and admission is free!
