July Friday 5 and Saturday 6 July   Mammal Watch Cave Hill Country Park A chance to observe the local mammal population from purpose built wildlife hides and listen to and record any bat activity during the night.

A full programme of events takes place in the park during Rose Week including music and a variety of entertainment for all ages.

Wednesday 17 July 7pm In search of the damselfly Clement Wilson Park

An informal guided walk around Clement Wilson Park to look at its varied riverside wildlife.

  • Wear suitable footwear and weather proof clothing

Friday 26 July 7pm Twilight Tours Belfast Zoo Have you ever wondered what the animals get up to after closing time? Why not come along and find out with this special behind the scenes tour of the zoo, with our keepers.A barbeque dinner will also be provided.

Monday 29 July - Wednesday 31 July 9.30am - 3.30pm Summer School Belfast Zoo

Children aged seven to nine can come along to learn more about our animals with the education team, zoo keepers and the zoo vet.Places are limited, so you must book beforehand.  Tickets cost £100 for the week.

Tuesday 30 July   Vintage car rally Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park

Wednesday 31 July 6.45pm - 7.30pm WEE (Wednesday evening event) series Belmont Park

This introductory orienteering event has a short course suitable for all the family and a longer course for those up for a challenge.  Enjoy a walk or a run around the park using a map to find the markers. Electronic punching will allow you to see how long you took and have fun comparing it with others.  No previous experience required.
