Entrance to the park is via Donegall Square North, Donegall Square East and Donegall Square West. Belfast City Hall is located in the city centre, near most major bus stops.


The grounds of Belfast City Hall are the most central piece of green space in Belfast. They are a popular place to meet for lunch and are used throughout the year for various council-funded events such as Christmas Continental Market, as well as to house temporary exhibitions and fairs.

The grounds contain a number of famous statues, including a memorial to the Titanic and statues of Queen Victoria and Sir Edward Harland, the former head of Harland and Wolff shipbuilding yard.

Opening hours

The grounds are open from 7am to 7pm.

Walking route

Highway to Health is a simple scheme which aims to encourage people to boost their health through walking. A 2.5km circular route starts from Belfast City Hall and continues around the city centre.
