Play equipment in Nubia Street Playground We manage 79 children's playgrounds in Belfast. Use the links below to find your nearest playground: To make our playgrounds accessible and inclusive to children of various abilities, we're investing £649,000 to upgrade and redesign ten of our sites.

This follows an independent inspection, which assessed and scored playground equipment and other structures, such as seats, against current quality and safety European standards.

Older playground equipment will be replaced in five of our playgrounds - Grampian Avenue, Knocknagoney, Alderman Tommy Patton Memorial Park, Ligoniel and Lenadoon. Five other sites - Finlay, Alexandra (Upper), Highfield, Marrowbone and Glassmullan - will be totally refurbished.

The schedule for the upgrades is: Work on the remaining sites will begin early in 2012. We apologise for any inconvenience caused while the upgrade work is being carried out.
