Belfast has a rich variety of street trees, including birch, Scots pine, whitebeam,
rowan, horse chestnut and sycamore.
Our role involves:
- looking after trees within the city's parks
- encouraging communities to become involved in tree planting schemes
- managing street trees on behalf of the Department of Regional Development (DRD) Roads Service
- planting new street trees
- increasing public understanding and appreciation of trees in the environment.
