As part of our commitment in this area, we also deliver Keeping Safe training by accredited child protection trainers to all staff who work with children and young people.
We have also introduced a new programme, Leisurewatch, to help our frontline staff identify, assess and manage sex offender risk.

Provided through the Derwent Initiative, it helps raise awareness amongst staff of adults who may potentially use public facilities, such as leisure and community centres, to gain access to children and young people.

More information about the programme is available from the Derwent Initiative website
