Swine flu notice

Cargo hold in Port of Belfast Under the Public Health (Ships) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2008, vessel operators and their agents have a number of responsibilities.

In particular, you must radio ahead to advise the local port authority if you become aware of, or suspect, that a passenger or member of your on-board crew is suffering from an infectious disease.

You must also notify an authorised officer once you arrive of any infectious diseases on board.

This is particularly important given the recent swine flu outbreak.

If you have any concerns or questions, call our port health staff on 028 9035 1199 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) or 07850 499 622 (out-of-hours).
