Benview and Ballysillan

Artwork at Ballysillan Primary School Date: April 2009 – August 2009
Location: Upper Crumlin Road (opposite Ballysillan Primary School)
Artist: Dawn Aston

Artist Dawn Aston worked with pupils from Ballysillan Primary School, the school's Parents and Teachers Association and Youth for Christ to create a special sculpture opposite Ballysillan Primary School, on Upper Crumlin Road.

The eight-foot tall, four-sided pyramid is decorated with images which are important to the area, including its Viking history, the Titanic and local wildlife.

The artwork also has a practical element, as it incorporates seating for parents waiting on their children coming out of the school.
