Conway Wall

Conway Wall mural Date: October 2008 - June 2009
Location: Conway Street, off Falls Road
Artist: Daniela Balmaverde

This project aimed to develop a derelict area and long boundary wall of Conway Street, facing Conway Mill.

The colourful mural, on a previously graffiti-covered wall in Conway Street, takes its inspiration from `The Sky` by Holywood poet and artist Tom Kerr, and particularly the line, `This is my sky, I will share it with you`.

The piece, by artist Daniela Balmaverde, aims to celebrate the identity of the local community in a positive and creative way, by presenting a vision of a safer and happier future.

It was developed in conjunction with a number of local community organisations, including an Over 50s group from Tar Anall and young people from An Munia Tober.
