What can I bring to a recycling centre?

We have four centres you can use for recycling household waste. They are all free to use.

Blackstaff Way Recycling Centre is currently undergoing essential maintenance. We expect this to be completed by November 2013.

It will remain open to the public during this time. However because of reduced capacity and temporary layout users may experience delays or some short closures. To avoid these delays, if you have large amounts of recyclables you can use any of other recycling centres.

Opening hours

1 April - 30 September
Monday	8.30am - 5.30pm
Tuesday	8.30am - 5.30pm
Wednesday	8.30am - 8.00pm
Thursday	8.30am - 5.30pm
Friday	8.30am - 5.30pm
Saturday	9.00am - 5.00pm
Sunday	12.00 noon - 5.00pm

There are also glass recycling points across the city and two civic amenity sites (Agnes Street and Springfield Avenue).

Please remember our Civic Amenity Sites only accept a limited range of material.

Remember if you have a bulky item (such as furniture or fridges) you can arrange a free household bulky waste collection by calling us on 028 9027 0230.

Disabled access

All our recycling centres have a split-level design, making it easy for people to dispose of waste without having to use steps.

Alexandra Park, Blackstaff Way and Palmerston Road also have lower-level areas for recycling glass, cans, plastic bottles, Tetra Pak and textiles.
