Carlisle Circus Sculpture

With Urban II assistance, we commissioned artist Iain McColl to design and fabricate a landmark public art piece which would present a positive and welcoming image of north Belfast and help engender a sense of shared space and identity in the area around Carlisle Circus.

The art piece, Pharus, is representative of the Linen Mill industry and also the six religious faiths in this area.

Feature lighting was installed to accentuate the architectural merit of this historic former church and to improve surveillance in the surrounds.
