Shankill Road
Shankill Road is a route in transition where demand for housing is on the increase. The proximity to the city centre means that previously troublesome and unsightly gap sites are beginning to disappear behind developers’ hoardings or Belfast Regeneration Office redevelopment schemes. International tourists are also a common sight on the road. There are over 100 smaller retailers on the road in Shankill, from Woodvale to Peter’s Hill, operating their businesses day-to-day. Opportunities to benefit from a commercial improvement scheme could be the key to both attracting and retaining new customers.
Below are some of the featured projects on the Shankill Road.

Commercial improvements - Shankill Road
Shankill Road is one of Belfast’s original high streets and as such, we have has focused on investing in over 100 commercial properties on the road.Enhancing the quality of the environment and the appearance of the buildings aims to boost business confidence and revive local communities’ pride in their area.
We apply positive principles of quality design in order to highlight the local nature and uniqueness of the shopping area.
This typically includes new signs, lighting and painting. We also worked with the Belfast Regeneration Office to tackle more serious derelict or dangerous structures along the route.

West Belfast Orange Hall
West Belfast Orange Hall, a key building on the Shankill Road, is home to the No. 9 District Orange Lodge, which celebrated its 110 year anniversary in 2008. New bespoke galvanised railings, reflecting the heritage of the Orange Order, have been erected at the hall. Cleansing of the exterior wall has taken place and a final high quality granite finish has all lead to the restoration of the West Belfast Orange Hall entrance to its former glory. Before
