Land and Property Services
If you are aged 70 or above, live alone and still pay rates, you could be entitled to a reduction on your rates bill.The Lone Pensioner Allowance scheme was introduced in April 2008 and gives eligible seniors a 20 per cent discount on their rates.
It is not means tested.
