Belfast Sports Forum

Poeple playing sport The latest Belfast Sports Forum took place in Belfast City Hall on Wednesday 11 January 2012.

The event, for administrators, coaches and volunteers from sports clubs in Belfast, was very popular and over 25 sports clubs were represented.

The workshops gave representatives a chance to:
  • discuss how their sports and facilities should be developed
  • identify opportunities for funding
  • take advantage of networking opportunities with other clubs and coaches
  • seek our nationally recognised Belfast Clubmark accreditation.

The first meeting of the forum took place in June 2011.

More than 60 clubs came together to discuss key topics relating to the council's Physical Activity and Sports Development Strategy for Belfast. The Belfast Sports Forum has been organised in partnership with the Belfast Community Sports Development Network (BCSDN), as part of the Active Belfast Consortium.
