Big Ted’s American Cookies
At six feet, eight inches tall, you might say that Big Ted is 'big' into cookies. He was raised in sunny California where he started baking cookies at the age of four with his mum and granny.
Having moved to Northern Ireland in 1991, three years ago Big Ted realised the biggest thing Northern Ireland was missing (other than lots of sunshine, of course) was American cookies. So, he quit work in engineering and took on a new mission: To bring great American cookies to Northern Ireland!
And what better place to sell them than St George’s Market on a Friday and Saturday!
Big Ted explains, “The thing is, there’s a heck of a difference between the real American cookie taste and some of the cookies that just claim to be ‘American’ cookies. That’s why I specialise in making real delicious American cookies which are soft and chewy.”
