Titanic Festival

Belfast's most famous creation, Titanic, was commemorated in an extended annual festival from 31 March - 31 May 2011, which included key dates of the ship's build.

Many cities and locations lay claim to a Titanic story but only one place can take credit for her legendary design, build and craftsmanship – Belfast.

Titanic anniversaries

2011 marks the centenary of many key milestones of the ship's construction as well as some significant centennial anniversaries connected to the Titanic including the:

opening of the Thompson Dry Dock (1 April 1911)
launch of Nomadic (25 April 1911)
launch of Titanic (31 May 1911).

2012 marks the centenary of the sinking of Titanic.
