We launched a new half hour training DVD, Think Traveller, during Traveller Focus Week in December 2008.The Travellers’ Community Organisation, An Munia Tober, worked with us to create the film and help give the Traveller Community a voice to talk directly to those they need to reach.
The film promotes the Traveller Community and raises problems they face such as lack of housing, education and health.
The film contains interviews with:
- Frank O'Hagan, Travellers Liaison Officer
- Mark Donahue, An Monia Tober
- Traveller families
- An Munia Tober staff.
Aims of DVD
The aims of this DVD are to:- help government agencies deal better with problems that face the Traveller Community
- encourage Traveller awareness training.
Target audience
This DVD has been created to help train our staff. It is also being used as a best practice example for other government agencies, schools, community groups and councils.Request a copy
