Traveller Focus Week runs from 1 - 5 December 2008. It is an opportunity for the Traveller Community to engage in dialogue other cultures and communities.
In Northern Ireland, Traveller Focus Week is organised by the Equality Commission.
For the past three years, the themes have been Recognition, Participation and Inclusion. This year, the theme is Intercultural Dialogue.
Think Traveller training DVD
We have created a new training DVD, Think Traveller, as part of Traveller Focus Week. It has been created to help train our staff to understand the Traveller Community's culture and the issues that affect them. It is also being used as a best practice example for other government agencies, schools, community groups and councils.
