Good relations work

One of the key features of our Youth Forum is their work to promote good relations among young people.

The Forum recognises the need to encourage better relationships in Belfast and they have worked closely with our Good Relations unit to tackle this issue.

To date, members have taken part in workshops about:

politics in Northern Ireland
sectarianism
prejudice
interface violence
immigrant workers
travellers' issues
racism
the Orange Order
the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA)
the Holocaust.

The group have also organised visits to various sites, including Schomberg House (headquarters of the Orange Order) and the site of the former Maze prison.
