Our Bereavement Services are dedicated to providing compassionate, professional, and accessible support to residents during times of loss. The purpose of these service standards is to offer clear, comprehensive information regarding the quality of service people can expect from our cemeteries, Gardens of Remembrance, and the City of Belfast Crematorium. This document aims to ensure transparency and accountability in all operations, reflecting a steadfast commitment to continuous improvement driven by public feedback and adherence to best practices.
Our vision for Bereavement Services is to maintain cemeteries and Gardens of Remembrance to a standard that provides a place of comfort, tranquillity, and reflection for all visitors. This commitment is underpinned by trained staff dedicated to offering a sympathetic, dignified, and accessible service to all individuals.
The delivery of these services is guided by several overarching principles:
Dignity and respect
