Deputy Lord Mayor announces East Belfast Mission as third chosen charity

Calling all quiz brains! Think you’re the champion of general knowledge? Or do you just love a little competition? Why not join East Belfast Mission and Deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor Peter McReynolds, for the Big Quiz to raise vital funds for East Belfast Mission Counselling Project?
Taking place in City Hall on Tuesday 24th March 2020 at 6:30pm, the Big Quiz will raise vital funds for the charity’s Care Counselling Project.
Each year East Belfast Mission provide free counselling to up to 100 people in the local community. The charity’s experienced counsellors and therapists strive to create a warm, safe and personal space for clients to be able to explore challenging or disturbing thoughts and feelings, and support them in their journey to find solutions to their difficulties.
East Belfast Mission work on building strong therapeutic relationships based on trust and respect, with people of all faiths and none, and value the individual differences and backgrounds of all clients. They provide counselling and psychotherapy for children, young people, adults, and older adults, to individuals, couples, and families.
Deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor Peter McReynolds said “I am delighted to announce East Belfast Mission as my third chosen charity as Deputy Lord Mayor. This is a group which does so much for east Belfast and beyond.
”I am excited for the quiz event we have planned and for the positive effect it will have for those in need - I would encourage everyone to get involved and join in the fun!”
East Belfast Mission Superintendent, Rev. Brian Anderson, said: “We are absolutely honoured to have been chosen by the Deputy Lord Mayor as a chosen charity and are extremely grateful for his support.
“Our Quiz Night in City Hall is guaranteed to be a fun night for everyone, no matter how up to scratch your general knowledge might be! We look forward to welcoming everyone to City Hall by kind permission of the Deputy Lord Mayor, to raise vital funds for our valuable Care Counselling project. The event will take place on 24th March from 6:30pm-9:30pm. Refreshments will be provided on arrival and hot buffet is included in the ticket price. Tickets are available for teams or individuals and everyone is welcome! Tickets are priced at £10 per adult and £5 for under 16s.
