Pathway to Construction Programme
The Pathway to Construction is a short two-week training programme, open to anyone aged 16-24 years old, who is currently not in education, training or employment. It's designed in partnership with contractors operating in Belfast to help recruit new staff.
The programme will provide you with the basic skills in construction and bricklaying.
Dates of programme

|| One-week on-site work experience with employers
Travel and lunch is provided each day.
You will take part in a two-week training programme, which will give you the skills and licences needed to begin a career in construction including:
- CSR card
- abrasive wheels
- manual handling.
The programme will also provide sector specific employability support including:
- one-week on-site work experience with contractors
- completing application forms
- interview preparation and mock interviews.
If you complete the programme, you will be supported in getting a career in the construction sector, or any area of employment that is of interest. Apprenticeships or training is also an option. You will also receive ongoing support until the end of March 2020.
The Pathway to Construction Programme is open to anyone living in the Belfast City Council boundary area who is aged between 16 and 24 years old and currently not in education, training or employment.
