Looking back: performance improvement summary achievements 2025-2026

We will publish our 2025-2026 year-end self-assessment online in September 2026. This is a summary of some key achievements:

  • 100 per cent of actions achieved or partially achieved
  • 79 per cent of performance indicators either met or exceeded target
  • 96 per cent of available performance indicators have either maintained or showed improvement on previous years
  • completed 97 per cent of service requests for missed bins within five working days (target was 92 per cent)
  • achieved 76 per cent customer satisfaction levels with customer hub contacts (target was 65 per cent)
  • paid 96 per cent of invoices within 30 calendar days (target was 90 per cent)
  • achieved 18,190 outdoor leisure bookings (target was 16,000)
  • planted 750 linear metres of hedging (target was 500 metres)
  • supported 42 businesses (existing Belfast Business Promise members) to improve their recognition level (target was 10)
  • occupied 24 previously vacant citywide properties through the Vacant to Vibrant intervention (target was 20)
  • progressed 220 projects under the Physical Programme (target was 100)
  • processed 87 per cent of planning enforcement cases within 39 weeks – exceeding the statutory 70 per cent target)
