Christmas in Belfast

  • Belfast’s festive season

Belfast’s festive season got off to a magical start with our two ‘enchanted evenings’ on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 November, marking the start of a seasonal programme of family fun and activities.

You can continue to soak up the festive atmosphere in the run-up to Christmas with seasonal window displays, magical musical performances, Christmas lighting and illuminations, extended opening hours and pop-up entertainment every Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 5pm.

  • Christmas events

There are a number of other Christmas themed events taking place in Belfast this year to get you in the festive spirit.

  • Shopping opening hours

There’s plenty of time to come on in and support Belfast’s retailers this Christmas with extended opening hours in December.

Shops will open as normal throughout November and from 2 January onwards. Opening times for smaller independent stores may vary during the Christmas period.

Remember that many stores are open for browsing on Sundays from 12 noon. Please check with individual stores for their Sunday browsing period.
