The Devil's in the Dance Hall

Date: Thursday 22 October 2026

Venue: Ulster Hall

Category: Music, Arts and culture

A new show from Edwina Guckian inspired by the dance halls of 1930s Ireland.

Through live music, storytelling and dancing, it explores the story of Jimmy Gralton and the important role dance halls played in bringing communities together.

Featuring the Gralton Big Band, the evening includes traditional Irish music, swing and set dancing. You can sit back and enjoy the performance or join in on the dance floor. No experience is needed.

Come ready to move, listen, watch, dance and become part of the story.

This tour is supported by the Shared Island Cultural Cooperation Fund via the Shared Ireland Touring Scheme administered by the Arts Council in partnership with the Arts Council of Northern Ireland (ACNI).
