Belfast Castle 90th celebrations

All 90th celebration events

Date: Sunday 19 May, 6.30pm to 9pm (event starts 7pm)

Update on Thursday 2 May 2024

All tickets are allocated for Little Amal at Ben Madigan.

As part of our 90th anniversary year, we are delighted that Belfast Castle has been chosen as the finale destination to a four-day celebration for the city as Little Amal; a 12-foot puppet of a 10-year-old Syrian refugee child.

Little Amal takes centre stage on her journey across the north, as part of the #Belfast2024 (link opens in new window) programme of events.

On her journey to highlight diversity, inclusion and peace, Little Amal will travel to Belfast from 16-19 May and will visit Titanic Slipways, the Peace Walls, Writers' Square, St Anne's Cathedral, City Hall with a final pit stop on the foot of Cavehill, at Belfast Castle before her venture south to Dublin.

Little Amal has become an international symbol of compassion and of human rights and everywhere Amal goes she is greeted with events (link opens in new window) that are authentic and meaningful to the local people she meets.
