Belfast Castle is excited to announce that Green Tourism (link opens in new window) has awarded our venue with their Green Meetings ‘Bronze’ Award.

At Belfast Castle we are extremely proud to have been recognised for our efforts in becoming an eco-friendlier venue to the beautiful environment that surrounds us. We are proud to set a standard to ensure we as a venue are taking positive actions to cater for and host meetings and events for those who book with us or visit.

Belfast City Council and Visit Belfast are working in partnership with Green Tourism to make our city a leading sustainable destination, one that is passionate about the differences we make. Belfast Castle is fully focused on supporting our city’s efforts to become a more sustainable venue, one that demonstrates a commitment to our environmental responsibility in planning or hosting meetings and events in the north of the city.

In achieving the ‘green meetings’ bronze award, this is a reflection of all the hard work to date. We believe we are now on an important journey as a business to improve our offering, to reduce our carbon footprint, to minimise waste generation, to be more energy efficient and to support our local communities more.

We will continue to build upon this award and are dedicated to making positive changes, to collaborate more, to be more innovative and to demonstrate leadership and a pathway for all.
