The National Lottery Heritage Fund

  • About the NLF

The National Lottery Heritage Fund (link opens in new window) supports a wide variety of heritage projects across the UK.

With support from the Heritage Fund and Friends of Botanic Garden, we part-funded and delivered a £3.8 million restoration project at the Tropical Ravine in Botanic Gardens, bringing this fantastic building back to its Victorian splendour.

With part-funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund’s Parks for People Programme, we are delivering the £2.8 million heritage project at City Cemetery. The project is designed to protect and enhance the history and heritage of the site and allow more people to access and understand it.

In 2023 we completed the £17 million restoration and expansion of Templemore Baths. We invested £12 million in the project, with the remaining £5 million provided by the Heritage Fund.

We also secured funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund and the UK government’s Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government for the £7 million restoration of Strand Arts Centre.
