On this three-hour walking tour, expert guides will take you from the grandeur of City Hall through the Linen Quarter and the Queen’s Quarter, uncovering how linen, learning and life along the Golden Mile shaped Belfast’s identity.

On this walking tour, you will discover:

  • how the linen boom of the 19th century built Linenopolis
  • stories behind South Belfast’s public parks and landmark buildings
  • how South Belfast both suffered and thrived throughout the Troubles
  • how and why class, religion and education shaped everyday life for people living in the area, and
  • why South Belfast reveals a different side to the city’s story.
