National Lottery Heritage Fund projects

We are delivering a range of projects across Belfast with funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF).

Major projects completed

• City Cemetery Heritage Project - in 2025 we completed the £2.8 million project which aimed to protect and enhance the history and heritage of the site and allow more people to access and understand it.
• Templemore Baths - in 2023 we completed the £17 million restoration and expansion of Templemore Baths. We invested £12 million in the project, with the remaining £5 million provided by NLHF.
• Tropical Ravine - we part-funded and delivered a £3.8 million project to restore the Tropical Ravine in Botanic Gardens, with additional funding from NLHF and Friends of Botanic Gardens. The project brought this fantastic building back to its original Victorian design, with old features reinstated and unique details preserved.

Major projects underway

• Strand Arts Centre - we are part-funding and delivering the £7 million restoration of The Strand, along with funding from NLHF and the UK government’s Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.
