Voluntary, community and social enterprise sectoral advisory panel

Belfast has a vibrant and active voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector, playing a valuable role in the fabric of city life. To strengthen participation and representation of Belfast’s third sector in community planning the Community Planning Partnership established a VCSE Sectoral Advisory Panel. 

The Panel comprises 30 representatives, drawn from across Belfast's large and diverse voluntary, community and social enterprise sectors. Membership reflects a spread of geographic areas of the city, Belfast Agenda priorities, Neighbourhood Renewal Partnerships, Section 75 and minoritised voices and large and small organisations.

The panel’s aims are:

• to ensure that the sector’s voices are represented as part of the community planning process
• to develop and improve cross sectoral relationships and partnerships
• to promote effective community engagement
