Commercial waste collection schedule

We collect commercial waste from Monday to Friday, between 7am and 3.30pm.

You should ensure bins are accessible and out by 7am. We can't provide exact collection times for individual locations. 

There may be changes to your collections during the Fleadh (2 to 9 August), find out if your business will be affected.

Commercial waste collections during public and bank holidays

If there are changes to commercial waste collections on public or bank holidays, we'll publish this information on Holiday arrangements. You can call 028 9027 0735 for more information. 

Bin types and charge schedule 

• 60-litre bagged waste: charged every six months in advance, bags are provided.  
• 240-litre wheelie bin: charged every six months in advance. 
• 660-litre bin: bin provided free, monthly collection charge. 
• 1100-litre bin: bin provided free, monthly collection charge.

Recycling services for commercial waste

Recycling can reduce the amount of waste which ends up in landfill, and could reduce the number of collections you need.

We offer these commercial waste recycling services:

• dry recycling (for paper, card, plastic bottles and aluminium cans)
• glass recycling (for glass bottles and jars), and
• food waste composting.

All our recycling bins are provided free. If you don't have room for a recycling bin, we can provide recycling bags which take up less space.

Types of commercial recycling bins

• 240-litre recycling wheelie bin is suitable for offices and smaller businesses, it can fit through standard doorways.
• 660-litre recycling container is designed to fit through standard doorways and is suitable for large quantities of waste on premises with limited space.
• 1100-litre recycling container is for large quantities of waste, equivalent to five standard household bins.
• 140-litre food recycling bin is for storing used food waste bags until collection.

If you don't have space for bins, we can provide bags for dry recycling.

If you put the wrong waste in your bin, we won't be able to collect it. We'll put a contamination sticker on your bin. You'll need to remove that waste and leave the bin out on your next collection day. 

Using your commercial waste bins

• Place bins out between 7am and 3.30pm on collection day.
• Make sure we can easily access your bins.
• Don't overfill your bins. Lids must close.
• Store loose waste in securely tied, prepaid bags 
• Return bins to your storage area after collection. Don't leave bins on footpaths.
• Don't put glass, metal, or wood in prepaid bags. 
• Don't leave paper or cardboard beside recycling bins.
