The Belfast in Bloom competition 2025 is open for applications. There are award categories for individuals, community groups, allotments, commercial displays and school gardens.

Enter the competition and cheer up forgotten flower beds, arrange a window box or take part in a regeneration project.

The competition is open to individuals and groups.

Individual awards

There are individual categories for north, south, east and west Belfast.

• Best window box
• Best garden

Community awards

• Best community street
• Best community group
• Best community garden

Allotment awards

• Best individual allotment
• Best allotment site

Commercial awards

• Best hotel
• Best public house
• Best restaurant
• Best commercial street
• Best commercial premises

School awards

Four individual categories will be awarded for north, south, east and west Belfast schools.

• Best kept school garden in south Belfast
• Best kept school garden in east Belfast
• Best kept school garden in west Belfast

How to enter the competition

It is free to enter Belfast in Bloom. You can take part as an individual or in a group. You can enter online and attach a photograph of your display.

Closing dates

The closing date for the school awards is Friday 20 June. The closing date for other categories is Friday 1 August. We will judge entries during August. For more information about the competition, email [email protected].
