Young Entrepreneurs to Watch in Belfast

Young Entrepreneurs to Watch is a three-month programme designed to discover, develop, and fast-track entrepreneurial talent among young people in Belfast. Applications are open. 

Programme information

Young Entrepreneurs to Watch programme combines hands-on workshops with exclusive mentoring from business leaders, providing a platform for young innovators ready to make their mark.

The programme will culminate in a city centre showcase event. At this event, participants will pitch their business ventures and compete for £2,000 funding to help bring their ideas to life.

Programme workshops 

Three half-day workshops take place on:

• Tuesday 3 November
• Tuesday 17 November
• Tuesday 1 December

Eligibility criteria for Young Entrepreneurs to Watch

You are eligible to apply to the programme if:

• you or your business has a Belfast City Council postcode
• your business is currently trading or will be trading within the next 12 months or by 31 October 2027
• you are at least 16 years old when applications open on 22 September 2026 and not older than 29 by programme completion, and
• you are available to attend the three half-day workshops on 3 November, 17 November and 1 December 2026.

Closing date

Applications close on Thursday 15 October 2026 at 12 noon. We'll notify successful applicants by Tuesday 20 October 2026.
