Public consultation launched on draft short-term let accommodation Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG)

We are currently consulting on draft supplementary planning guidance (SPG) for short-term lets in the city.

Associated with policy HOU13, this non-statutory guidance is aimed for use by:

• developers
• landowners
• planning agents, and
• anyone seeking advice on short-term let accommodation.

This applies to new-build housing or for change of use of existing dwellings.

The guidance will highlight the key planning considerations that can arise in relation to planning applications for short-term lets and provide advice on our approach to relevant planning policy.

The public consultation will close on Monday 16 November 2026 at 5pm.
