Belfast Zoo was delighted to welcome the Lord Mayor of Belfast, Cllr Tracy Kelly, for a site visit on Thursday 16 April.
The visit, hosted by members of the Zoo’s Management Team, provided an opportunity to showcase the wide-ranging work taking place across the organisation. This included insight into the Zoo’s conservation initiatives, educational programmes and its ongoing commitment to protecting endangered species at home and in the wild.
During the visit, the Lord Mayor was given a guided walk of the site, where she learned more about how Belfast Zoo supports both local and global conservation efforts. The team also shared updates on a number of future development plans, aimed at enhancing the overall visitor experience and ensuring the Zoo continues to evolve as a leading attraction.
The visit highlighted the important role Belfast Zoo plays in connecting people with wildlife, while contributing to international conservation efforts and delivering meaningful educational experiences for visitors of all ages.
