Sit back, relax and enjoy a scenic ride to the top of the zoo. The Zoo Express is a great option for families with young children, visitors who prefer to avoid the steeper paths, or anyone who simply wants to take in the views around the zoo.

Booking the Zoo Express
Tickets are served on a first-come first-served basis as there is limited amount of spaces.
You can book the Zoo Express at any of our admission desks when you arrive at the zoo, or by calling 028 9077 6277 or emailing [email protected].
- Where does it stop?
You can get on and off the Zoo Express from three key stops across the zoo.
- Visitor centre - main boarding point near the zoo entrance.
- Penguin habitat - disembark at our halfway point of the zoo.
- Treetop Tearoom - perfect for stopping off for refreshments.
Visitors who have a stamp can hop on or off at any stop during operating hours.
Departure point
You can get on The Zoo Express from the back of the Visitor Centre.
- Train timetable
Each journey takes about 15 minutes between stops.

Other information
- Spaces on each train are limited to 48 passengers and 1 wheelchair user.
- You can board or leave the train at the visitor centre.
- Children must always be accompanied by an adult.
- It is your responsibility to arrive on time. If you are late, you will miss the train departure and there may not be availability for later departure times.
- The Zoo Express will be available subject to operational needs.
