Sit back, relax and enjoy a scenic ride to the top of the zoo. The Zoo Express is a great option for families with young children, visitors who prefer to avoid the steeper paths, or anyone who simply wants to take in the views around the zoo.

Booking the Zoo Express
We recommend you book your space as there is a limited number of spaces.
You can book the Zoo Express at any of our admission desks when you arrive at the zoo, or by calling 028 9077 6277 or emailing [email protected].
Or you can pay on arrival of our admission desks, however, tickets are served on a first-come first-served basis.
- Where does it stop?
You can get on and off the Zoo Express from two key stops across the zoo.
- Buzz Photo Spot - main boarding point at the roundabout near the Buzz Photo Spot
- Treetop Tearoom - perfect for stopping off for refreshments.
Visitors who have a stamp can travel on the train during operating hours.
Departure point
You can get on The Zoo Express from outside the Buzz Photo Spot.

Other information
- Spaces on each train are limited to 48 passengers and 1 wheelchair user.
- Storage for buggies or luggage is available on the vehicle but will be limited in the event of the vehicle’s full capacity.
- We cannot guarantee availability for visitors who have not booked.
- You can board or leave the train at the Buzz Photo Spot or Treetop Tearoom.
- Children must always be accompanied by an adult.
- It is your responsibility to arrive on time. If you are late, you will miss the train departure and there may not be availability for later departure times.
- The Zoo Express will be available subject to operational needs.
