How to apply

  • How to apply

We aim to make it easy to apply for a job with Belfast City Council.

We understand that recruitment processes can be confusing so this page explains how our process works.

To apply, you must complete an online application form.

    This helps us:

    • collect information in a consistent way
    • treat all applicants fairly

    We do not accept CVs.

You must enter your experience in the correct section of the online application form. If you enter information in the wrong section, it will not be considered.

  • Where we advertise

All our jobs are advertised on our website.

    Some jobs also appear in:

    • the Belfast Telegraph (including NI Jobfinder),
    • Irish News
    • Newsletter
    • Department for the Economy, Jobs and Benefits Office (occassionally).

Chief Officer posts are advertised on online job boards.
