Renewed Ambition – a joint public and private sector led initiative – aims to shape how we reimagine the future of our city and act together to deliver that ambition in the months and years ahead.
Over the past number of years, we have increasingly worked collaboratively to showcase investment and development opportunities across Belfast as we seek to deliver on our shared ambitions for the city as an exciting place to work, live, play and invest.
Renewed Ambition is delivering a structured programme focused on activities that help to ensure Belfast and the wider region is positioned to continue to attract investment and deliver on inclusive growth.
The 2022/2023 Programme of activity will run from 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023. This collaborative programme of activity will continue to be delivered across the key pillars of Research, Events, Engagement and Advocacy, Communications and Repository. The programme will also include a return to in-person attendance at international real estate conferences such as UKREiiF and MIPIM 2023, and Investor showcase events in London and Dublin, to showcase Belfast and the wider city region to a global audience.
This programme will be delivered as a public-private partnership model, governed by the Renewed Ambition Partnership (RAP) Taskforce, with responsibility for providing strategic direction and oversight for all elements of the Renewed Ambition Programme. The programme has been designed to be flexible due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the ever-changing economic landscape. The Taskforce will be responsible for agreeing and approving the final programme structure and content.
Membership of the Taskforce includes representatives from Belfast City Council and top-level sponsoring organisations. The Taskforce is chaired by a representative from the private sector. Belfast City Council (the council) will take responsibility for the governance of all related programme expenditure, with oversight from the Taskforce.
