Belfast City Council

Belfast City Council is the local authority for Belfast, the capital and largest city of Northern Ireland.

Belfast of today is a city transformed. Cranes can be seen across the skyline, as new offices, hotels, student and residential accommodation are being built. Belfast City Council is committed to building on this momentum. We are working to ensure that Belfast continues to grow and develop as a global city, attracting investment and boosting the health and prosperity of all our citizens.

Over the next five years, we aim to create 15,000 new jobs in Belfast, attract over £1 billion of investment, double the value of tourism, and achieve a Belfast Region City Deal. Working with our partners in the city and beyond we have a vision for Belfast that is open, welcoming, bursts with culture and is a great place to live, work, visit and invest.
