Titanic Quarter
In just over a decade, Titanic Quarter has gone from master plan to reality.
Located in the heart of Belfast city, Titanic Quarter is one of Europe’s largest urban waterfront regeneration projects, consisting of 185 acres of brownfield site, including the re-use or redevelopment of existing buildings. It includes a mix of residential, commercial, leisure, educational buildings and visitor attractions. 20,000 people live, work, visit and stay daily at Titanic Quarter and the thriving destination contributes over £757 million GVA per annum.
Titanic Quarter is also home to a diverse range of over 100 national and international companies, including Amazon, Citi, Microsoft, IBM and HBO, who famously filmed ‘Game of Thrones’ in the Titanic Studios. A cluster of globally significant GreenTech companies including Catagen and Artemis Technologies have been growing in the Quarter, leading the way in green hydrogen and decarbonisation of the marine Industry.
Titanic Quarter’s regeneration has sustainability at its heart and is designed to support Belfast’s ranking as one of the top sustainable destinations in the world.
Titanic Quarter continues to implement a sustainable and active transportation strategy, which supports and promotes the reduction of reliance on private cars and enables an active and healthy society for all. As an example, the Belfast Bike rental scheme has been rolled out across the development and there is ongoing investment in high quality public realm, for the benefit of the local community.
A Planning Development Framework has been approved for the regeneration of Titanic Quarter, which provides multiple investment opportunities.
