Join us on a very special European Open Heritage Weekend as the castle opens its doors with an array of activity to celebrate all historic places across Northern Ireland, including our very own Belfast Castle at the foot of Cavehill.
There is a packed programme of events to celebrate heritage, culture and art, some of which include.
- A self-guided walk inside Belfast Castle, as we open up our ground and 1st floor, along with the famous internal wooden Spiral Staircase
- Music performances throughout the day
- Roving performers
- A very special ‘Tin snails’ Vintage Car Display in the main car park
- Rosemary Street Art exhibition and live painting from the Cat Garden
- Cavehill Conservation tours of the Maze Garden
European Heritage Open Day, Northern Ireland’s annual celebration of local architecture, history and culture.
